Momentum

There are still words that remain unsaid
and though I've been quite honest
there are still things I can't seem to tell you
and there are things that you won't tell me.
A difference lies between us,
between secrets and lies
and I want to be able to tell you things
and hear the words I long to be told.
Will we wait for the morrow that won't allow
for those words and actions to be
spoken or done?
There are things that need to be said
but when I finally find the right opportunity
to tell you such, you walk away
unaware of my need to speak.
And when you've finally realized it,
gone is the momentum and the right time
for those words to truly be spoken.
And nothing can bring back the chances
for words to be said, and deeds to be done.
